what i’m up to:
Studying. Reassessments. Trying to make sure all my assignments from semester one are turned in.
We went up to Taichung on Saturday to watch the basketball games and visit the Christmas Bazaar. I had lots of fun, but by the time we got back I had completely forgotten about writing this newsletter. Oops.
what i’m reading:
Too many things. I started Queen’s Shadow, a Star Wars book about Padmé and her handmaidens, only to find out that the trilogy makes much more sense if you read Queen’s Peril first. I’m about 20% into both of them.
I opened my library copy of The Silmarillion, admitting defeat and deciding that I’d just reread and annotate once I buy the book later on, but it turns out finals week is not a great time to read Tolkien.
I need to read one more book to reach my goal for the year, but I’ve decided that’s not going to happen until Christmas break.
what i’m thinking about:
My Chinese presentation. My Bible assignment. My upcoming Algebra final. Also, Lord of the Rings, Moulin Rouge, and Star Wars. Not much out of the ordinary there.
what i’m listening to:
Lots of Broadway, of course, but I’ve also started listening to Gracie Abrams. Current favorites are 21, minor, and Alright.
Also more rock music than normal, because I want to play my guitar.
what i’m watching:
I’ve DNF’d both Wednesday and Andor. Probably more likely to finish Wednesday, because my sister wants to watch it and I’ll probably end up interested over break. Not sure about Andor though. 😬
what i’m learning:
I don’t like wearing dresses. My outfit today consisted of my flannel pajama pants, my dad’s old t-shirt, and a tie. Dressember persists, even in the face of my lack of style.
what i’ve saved:
This meme one of my friends made for me as a Christmas present:
